Marcus Arana (San Francisco Human Rights Commission), Peter Trinkl (Bodies Like Ours), and Chase (Intersex Society of North America) will present at Creating Change 2005 in Oakland California.
This entry-level workshop explores the history of intersex people, defines ideas and concepts pertaining to intersex anatomies, and explores the current medical practice of “normalization.” The expert panelists will address intersex rights from government, academic, ethical, and personal perspectives. Handouts and resource materials will be provided.
